We welcome you to our cottage and hope your stay will be most enjoyable.
By booking and renting a stay at the « Les Pieds dans l’Eau » cottage, each guest acknowledges and agrees to fully comply with these internal regulations. These regulations have been designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all our guests, as well as the smooth operation of our facilities and services. As a result, we ask each guest to commit to scrupulously follow the provisions set out in these regulations..
Please kindly observe the following rules:
1. Operating Hours
1.1 Check-In Time
Check-in time at the cottage is set at 3:00 PM.
Please adhere to this schedule to allow the staff to prepare and clean the accommodation for your stay..
1.2 Check-Out Time
Check-out time from the cottage is set at 11:00 AM at the latest.
We also ask you to respect this schedule to allow for the preparation of the accommodation for the next occupants.
Additional charges may apply for unauthorized late check-out.
1.3 Flexibility and Communication
We understand that exceptional circumstances can sometimes lead to unforeseen delays or specific scheduling needs. In such cases, we encourage you to communicate with the cottage staff as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your needs while considering operational constraints.
2. Keys
Keys are handed over in person or through the keybox.
2.1 Key Keeping
It is the guest’s responsibility to keep the cottage keys secure throughout their stay. We recommend not leaving keys unattended and not entrusting them to anyone outside your group.
2.2 Immediate Reporting
In case of loss or theft of keys, please inform us immediately. Prompt reporting will enable us to take necessary measures to ensure the security of your accommodation and its occupants.
2.3 Key Replacement
In case of loss or theft of keys, replacement fees will be charged to the guest. These fees cover the costs associated with key reproduction, replacement of locks if necessary, and general security of the cottage..
2.4 Inappropriate Use
Cottage keys are for residential use only. Lending, copying, or using them for inappropriate purposes is strictly prohibited.
2.5 Cottage Locking
Please close and lock doors and windows when leaving the cottage.
3. Neighborhood Respect
3.1 Quiet Hours
We ask our guests to respect the calm and tranquility of the area, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM..
3.2 Behaviors and Parties
Loud parties, festive gatherings, disruptive behaviors, bachelorette parties are strictly prohibited both indoors and outdoors.
4. Cottage Capacity
4.1 Cottage Capacity
TExceeding the occupancy of 4 residents in the cottage is strictly prohibited.
The rental remains private at all times, either for one room or both rooms.
Assigning both rooms for occupancy below 3 people requires a prior request to the cottage staff.
The decision to allow or revoke the use of both rooms will be made by the cottage staff.
4.2 Prohibition
Hosting additional unregistered guests beyond the initial reservation is strictly prohibited. This includes friends, family members, or any third party not listed during the reservation.
4.3 Non-Compliance
In the event of a breach of the prohibition regarding unregistered visitors, the following steps will be taken:
The client will be duly informed and informed of the infraction.
Additional fees will be charged for each unauthorized person.
The cottage management also reserves the right to terminate the stay without possibility of refund.
In the event of unexpected presence of additional guests, we strongly urge you to promptly notify the cottage management to initiate a discussion about possible alternatives.
5. Children and Infants
The cottage’s configuration, especially its proximity to the water, does not allow us to ensure optimal safety for young children. Children under the age of 12 are therefore not allowed.
6. Pet Policy
Pets are not allowed.
7. Parking
Parking is obligatory on the two covered parking spaces provided.
A charging station is available for use.
8. Breakfast
Continental breakfast is offered at 16 euros per person.
It must be pre-ordered at least 24 hours before its service.
9. No Smoking
In order to ensure air quality and preserve the comfort of everyone, we have established a strict no-smoking policy indoors. We kindly ask you to carefully read the following guidelines regarding the smoking ban and proper use of ashtrays to maintain the cleanliness and harmony of our spaces.
9.1. No Smoking Indoors
Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors in all areas of the lodge, including rooms, living areas, lounge, hallways, and restrooms.
9.2. Use of Ashtrays
We provide ashtrays in designated outdoor areas for smokers. If you choose to smoke in these zones, please use the provided ashtrays to extinguish and collect your cigarette butts.
9.3. Properly Extinguish Cigarettes
When extinguishing your cigarette or cigar, ensure that you crush it carefully in the ashtray to prevent any risk of fire. Never throw incandescent or lit cigarette butts into trash bins or on the ground.
9.4. Butt Collection
If you use the outdoor ashtrays, please gather your cigarette butts in the ashtray to maintain clean and well-kept spaces. Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground, in water, or in nature.
10. Prohibited Drugs, Substances, and Unauthorized Material
Our priority is to create a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all our guests. To preserve this atmosphere conducive to the well-being of everyone, we maintain a strict policy prohibiting drugs, illegal substances, and any material harmful to the health and well-being of occupants.
10.1. Prohibited Drugs, Substances
The use, possession, distribution, or trafficking of drugs, illegal substances, controlled substances, or any other material prohibited by law is strictly forbidden within the lodge. This includes, but is not limited to, marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opioids, as well as any other recreational or illicit substance.
10.2. Pyrotechnic Material
The use and possession of all pyrotechnic material is also prohibited throughout the lodge, both indoors and outdoors.
10.3. Consequences of Non-Compliance
Any violation of this policy will be treated seriously. In the event of non-compliance with the prohibition on drugs, prohibited substances, and pyrotechnic material, the following measures will be taken:
• The guest will be immediately asked to leave the lodge without refund.
• Relevant authorities will be contacted if necessary.
• Costs associated with the violation, including cleaning, repair, or replacement, will be charged to the guest.
11. Equipment Usage
The provided equipment and facilities must be used with care. In case of damage or breakage, please inform us immediately.
Moving or dismantling furniture and equipment without prior authorization is prohibited.
If damage is not reported after the guest’s departure, we will be obligated to charge the guest for the replacement or repair of the furniture or equipment.
12. Bicycles, Scooters, Unicycles, Skateboards, and Roller Skates
Entering and/or parking bicycles, scooters, unicycles, skateboards, roller skates, or other vehicles inside the house is prohibited.
In case of non-compliance with this rule, the guest will be asked to leave the lodge immediately without the possibility of a refund. Cleaning and potential damages will be charged.
13. Proper Use and Harmony Regarding the Shared Pier
The shared pier is a valuable resource that provides guests with a unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the aquatic environment. To ensure a pleasant, safe, and harmonious experience for all lodge occupants and our neighbors, we wish to emphasize the importance of proper use and harmony when using this shared pier. Please read the following guidelines carefully.
13.1. Respect for Other Users
When using the shared pier, please respect the neighbors who may also wish to enjoy it. Show courtesy and patience to allow everyone to benefit from this amenity.
13.2. Safety First
Safety is paramount. Use the pier with caution and in accordance with local rules and lodge guidelines. Consider weather conditions and the condition of the pier to ensure your safety and that of others.
13.3. Cleaning and Preservation
Keep the pier clean and in good condition. Leave no litter, cigarette butts, or items that could harm the aquatic environment. Respect nature and marine resources by avoiding any harmful behavior.
13.4. Fair Sharing
If multiple individuals wish to use the pier simultaneously, ensure fair sharing of time and space. Respect the needs and activities of other users by maintaining an appropriate noise level and avoiding disruption.
13.6. Child Safety
If children use the pier, ensure they are under constant supervision and understand the safety rules to follow.
13.7. Communication
If problems or concerns arise during pier use, feel free to discuss them with lodge staff. Your feedback can help improve the experience for everyone. By adhering to these guidelines, you contribute to creating a positive and harmonious environment around the use of the shared pier.
14. Water Activities
To ensure a pleasant and safe stay, we wish to inform our guests about the rules regarding swimming in the Meuse River and the appropriate use of the provided paddleboard. Please carefully read the following provisions.
14.1. Prohibition of Swimming in the Meuse
Swimming in the Meuse River is strictly prohibited due to unpredictable currents, safety risks, and potential pollution conditions. Please do not attempt to swim in the river, regardless of your swimming experience.
14.2. Responsible Use of the Paddleboard
We provide a paddleboard for the enjoyment of our guests. However, we ask our guests to adhere to the following guidelines for responsible and safe use:
Permitted Use: The paddleboard should only be used in designated areas, avoiding navigation zones and following local regulations.
Safety Equipment: Ensure you wear a life jacket or personal flotation device when using the paddleboard.
Understanding Conditions: Familiarize yourself with weather conditions, currents, and water levels before using the paddleboard.
Warning: If conditions are hazardous or you lack prior experience with paddleboarding, it’s recommended not to use it.
Respect for Property: Handle the paddleboard with care and respect. Any damage or loss resulting from misuse will incur additional charges.
14.3. Individual Responsibility
Each guest is individually responsible for adhering to these rules for their own safety and the safety of other occupants.
14.4. Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to comply with these rules will result in the suspension of access to the paddleboard and, if necessary, reporting to the appropriate authorities.
15. Cleanliness
15.1. Common Areas
Both indoor and outdoor common spaces, as well as relaxation areas, must be kept clean and in good condition by all occupants. Please use the provided bins to dispose of waste and tidy up your personal belongings after use.
15.2. Bedrooms
We kindly ask you to keep your bedroom in perfect condition during your stay. Please refrain from leaving any food or beverages in the rooms. Use the provided bins for your waste disposal.
15.3. Kitchen
Please ensure that equipment and surfaces are left clean after use. Wash the dishes and store them properly.
15.4. Cleaning Outdoor Spaces
If you use outdoor spaces, such as terraces or the shared pontoon, make sure not to leave litter, cigarette butts, or cluttered materials. Respect the natural beauty of the surroundings.
15.5. Reporting Issues
If you come across a hygiene or cleanliness issue in the facilities, please immediately inform the lodge staff. Your cooperation helps us maintain high standards.
15.6. Departure
Upon check-out at the end of your stay, the lodge and its amenities should be tidy, waste disposed of in the designated trash bags in the technical room, and dishes should be cleaned, tidy, and put away.
16. Safety
In the event of a fire or emergency, please follow evacuation instructions.
Lodge Evacuation Instructions
In case of an emergency such as a fire or any other event requiring immediate evacuation, it is crucial to follow these instructions to ensure your safety and that of other occupants. Please read these instructions carefully and familiarize yourself with the exits and assembly points.
1. Alarm
If you hear a fire alarm or are alerted by lodge staff, take the situation seriously and act quickly.
2. Leave the Lodge
Take only essential belongings, such as your room keys and mobile phone if possible.
3. Evacuation Route
Follow the evacuation signs indicating the nearest exits.
Do not re-enter the lodge once you have exited.
4. Assist Others
If safely possible, help individuals who may have difficulty moving.
5. Assembly Point
Proceed to the assembly point located near the outdoor parking area.
Remain at the assembly point until all occupants are accounted for and lodge staff provide further instructions.
6. Emergency Call
Once safely at the assembly point, dial emergency number 112 to report the incident and provide your location.
7. Do Not Re-enter Indoors
Do not re-enter the lodge until authorities have given clearance.
8. Assistance for Reduced Mobility
If you have specific evacuation needs, please inform lodge staff upon arrival so they can take appropriate measures.
17. Responsibilities
17.1 Losses, Thefts, and Accidents
The owners of the lodge cannot be held responsible for any losses, thefts, accidents, or incidents occurring during the stay period.
17.2 Guest Responsibility
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the lodge or its facilities.
17.3 Compliance with Regulations
Individually, each guest is tasked with ensuring strict compliance with these internal regulations governing the lodge.
18. Non-Compliance with Regulations
In accordance with these regulations governing the use of specific facilities and services, we reserve the right to impose temporary suspensions, whether it concerns certain facilities or services if violations are observed.
In the event of substantial or serious breaches of these regulations, we reserve the right to immediately evict the guest and any accompanying individuals. This expulsion measure will result in an immediate termination of occupancy, without any opportunity for reimbursement claims.
